Scott Semrau tried his first murder case to a full jury while a student at Tulane Law School in New Orleans, earning the Phelps Dunbar Award for outstanding advocacy. After graduating with honors, Scott worked as a Public Defender for three years in Atlanta, Georgia, before starting The Semrau Law Firm. He has litigated over 100 cases, and he has represented thousands of clients during his 20 years of practice. He is a Martindale Rated AV Lawyer and in 2019 he received the Super Lawyer Award. Last year, Scott created the law firm of Divorce Litigation Partners to pursue his dream of practicing family law in a city he loves where “the skies are always blue”, in Seattle.
Scott and his wife, Cye, an outstanding photographer, live and work together in Ballard. They both enjoy mountain biking, backpacking, camping, and visiting with their children. Recently Scott began mountaineering and this summer Scott plans to summit Mt. Adams, Mt Baker, and Mt Rainier.
